This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your choices when you use Strawberry (the "Service"). Strawberry is an AI story tool that may allow NSFW/explicit adult content. The Service is 18+ only.

2. What We Collect

We aim to collect minimal data.

A) Account Data

• Email address
• Username/display name (if provided)
• Password hash/auth tokens (not your raw password)

B) Billing Data (via Stripe)

• Subscription plan and status
• Renewal dates
• Transaction identifiers/receipts
• Limited billing details provided to us by Stripe (we do not store full card numbers)

C) Content Data

• Story titles (stored so you can see your library/list)
• We do not store your story text, prompts, or generated outputs on our servers, except transiently in memory to complete generation and return results.

D) Usage & Technical Data

• Basic logs (timestamps, request counts, error logs)
• Device/browser data (IP address, user agent)
• Cookies/local storage for login sessions and preferences
• Analytics events (if enabled)

E) Communications

• Emails you send us (support requests, bug reports)

3. AI Providers (OpenAI, xAI, DeepInfra Orpheus)

To generate content, we send your prompt and related request metadata to third-party AI Providers that may include:

• OpenAI
• xAI
• DeepInfra (Orpheus)

These providers receive the prompt you submit and return generated text to you through the Service. Their handling of data is governed by their own policies and terms.

We do not use your prompts/outputs to train our own models because we do not store them.

AI Providers may process your data to provide the service; depending on their terms, they may retain or use data for safety/abuse prevention and service improvement. We recommend reviewing the AI Providers' policies.

4. How We Use Data

We use your data to:

• Provide the Service (accounts, authentication, showing your story titles, generating content)
• Process payments and manage subscriptions
• Prevent fraud, abuse, and enforce our Terms
• Maintain security, debug issues, and improve reliability
• Communicate with you (service updates, support)

5. NSFW and Sensitive Content

Users may input explicit text. Minors are not allowed. Do not include real personal data about others in prompts (names, addresses, private details), and do not include illegal content. We may take action (including account termination) for violations of our Terms.

6. Cookies and Analytics

We use cookies/local storage for:

• Login sessions
• Preferences
• Basic performance measurement

If we use analytics tools, they may collect usage signals and device identifiers. You can often limit cookies via your browser settings, but the Service may not work correctly without essential cookies.

7. How We Share Data

Payment Processing (Stripe). We use Stripe to process payments and manage subscriptions. Stripe processes payments on our behalf; Stripe's privacy policy applies to payment data they process. Stripe may collect and process your payment information (such as card details, billing address, and transaction data) according to Stripe's own privacy practices. We receive limited information from Stripe, such as your subscription status, payment confirmation, and transaction identifiers, to provide the Service, handle billing, prevent fraud, and support customers. We do not store full card numbers on our servers.

We also share data with:

• AI Providers (OpenAI, xAI, DeepInfra Orpheus) to generate content from your prompts
• Hosting and infrastructure providers (cloud hosting, logging)
• Legal/compliance: if required by law, subpoena, or to protect rights and safety
• Business transfers: if we are involved in a merger/acquisition (with notice where required)

We do not sell your personal information.

8. Data Retention

• Account data is retained while your account is active.
• Billing records may be retained as required for tax/accounting and dispute resolution.
• Logs are retained for a limited period for security and reliability.
• Story titles remain until you delete them or delete your account (subject to retention needs).

9. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to:

• Access and correct your information
• Request deletion of your account and associated data (subject to legal retention)
• Opt out of marketing emails (transactional emails may still be sent)

10. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect data (e.g., encryption in transit, access controls). No system is 100% secure; you use the Service at your own risk.

11. International Users

If you access the Service from outside our operating country, your data may be processed in jurisdictions with different data protection laws.

12. Children
